Dwyer, Dustin Edward
of Jackson, passed away after a 4 year struggle with Avascular Necrosis. He is survived by the love of his life, Elyse; mother, Sandra Redmond; father, Patrick (Liz) Dwyer; daughter, Brooke Dakota Dwyer (Joey); son, Chase Edward Dwyer; stepsons, Easton Oliver, Cortland Oliver, and Cody Betts; grandchildren, Kylie Mykel Miller, Jemma Reese Eilola, and Angelina Eilolia; brother, Joshua Patrick Dwyer; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and many friends. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, William and Angela Dwyer and Edward and Virginia Redmond.
Dustin went to work at Maes Tool and Die in 1993. He started his career tearing apart old dies. They knew they had a gem on their hands and paid for Dusty's tool and die education. He had many friends there and was treated like family. He was employed at Maes Tool and Die from 1993 until 2011. He applied for and was awarded the Sigmund Scholarship.
Dusty received his degree and went to work as a mechanical engineer for Jackson Crankshaft. He especially enjoyed working on projects with Ford Motor Company at their River Rouge Plant. Dusty then went to work as an electrical engineer for Commonwealth Associates. He was awarded the New Employee of the Year award. His career was stalled when he was diagnosed with Avascular Necrosis. He courageously underwent several surgeries.
Dusty enjoyed his music and had a great collection. He played the drums with his high school garage band and they would get together and play for family and friends. When he had the opportunity he loved getting away with his wife, Elyse. Dusty loved his children, Brooke and Chase and his grandchildren, Kylie, Jemma, and Angelina and had nick names for all. He was extremely close with his brother and many cousins and was blessed with many life long friends. Much to the dislike of his father and brother he was an avid Michigan fan. Dusty was loved and will be missed but never forgotten.
