Utess, Dorothy L.
of Jackson, passed away on Tuesday, November 6, 2012 at the age of 87 years. She is survived by her husband of 65 years, Charles Utess; three children, Louis C. (Mary Margaret) Utess, Kristine L. (Frank) Barger, Jim (Mary Anne) Utess; nine grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.
Dorothy was a Registered Nurse for many years, including serving as the Director of Nursing for Ganton's Countryside Care Center. She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially during the holidays and at Horsehead Lake.
The family will receive friends at the Desnoyer Funeral Home on Friday from 2–4 and 6–8 PM.
Funeral Services will take place at the Desnoyer Funeral Home on Saturday at 10:00 AM with Reverend Dr. Larry Walters officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Paul's Episcopal Church, Lumen Christi High School, the American Heart Association of Michigan or the Jackson County Animal Shelter.
