Dorothy Marie Karazim

Passed away on Monday, December 10, 2018 at the age of 96 years. Dorothy was born on May 9, 1922 in Marshall County, Minnesota. She is survived by her children, Mary Ann (Gaylend) Meeks, John Jr. (Cindy) Karazim, Michael (Teresa) Karazim, Timothy (Jan) Karazim; Dave Phillips. 5 grandchildren, Melissa (Brian), Amanda (Matthew), Erin (Jeff), Andrew (Melissa) and Sarah (Gunner); 10 great grandchildren and 1 great great granddaughter, several nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, John J. Karazim; her parents Curnel Byron Mussell and Minnie Mussell (Fisher); her son, Gary Karazim; two brothers, Jim and Ralph Mussell and her sister, Jean McInerney.

Dorothy retired from Hancock Industries, loved cooking, sewing, knitting and crocheting and was an avid Detroit Tigers fan.

Mrs. Karazim is at the Desnoyer Funeral Home where a Prayer Service will be held on Tuesday, December 18, 2018 at 10:00 AM followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 AM at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church with Father James Shaver as the celebrant. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends at the Desnoyer Funeral Home on Monday, December 17, 2018 from 4 to 8 PM with a Rosary Service at 7:00 PM.

Instead of flowers, contributions to St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church or to the Arthritis Foundation would be appreciated.
