Gordon, Dorothy E.-
Of Jackson, passed away in the presence of family members on Sunday, November 13, 2011 at the age of 90. Survived by four sons; Roger Davison of Wichita Falls, TX, Bruce (Sheila) Davison of Lake Somerset, Craig (Diana) Davison of Jackson, Scott (Denise) Davison of Jackson and sister Judy Moruzzi of Tomah, Wisconsin. She had 16 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren, and 6 great-great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by three brothers and one sister; Ross Wood, Harold Wood, Ralph Wood, and Helen Needhman.
Dorothy worked as a bookkeeper/secretary at Consumers Power in the 1950's and managed a manpower service agency in the Orlando, FL area in the 1970's. She loved to travel and spent many years in the warmer climates of our country.
Funeral services will be on Friday at 10:30 AM at the funeral home officiated by Pastor Daniel White with luncheon following at the Fellowship Baptist Church, 3200 Reed Road, Clark Lake ( just east of 127 South). Dorothy will be buried next to Clayton Gordon, her deceased husband, at the Wilson County Memorial Park in Lebanon, Tennessee.
The family will receive friends on Thursday from 5 to 8 PM at the Desnoyer Funeral Home.
Flowers or memorial contributions to the American Diabetes Association would be appreciated.
