Of Jackson, passed away at home under the loving care of her family and Arbor Hospice on Wednesday, June 6, 2012 age 85 years. Survived by three children; Vicki (Arnold) Hicks, Valerie Sarata and Michael (Diana) Schultz. 12 grandchildren: Arnie, Bridget,Victor, Jake, Trina, Gina, Sabrina, Christina, Jason, James, Mike and Bryan. 14 great-grandchildren: Kelsey, Brandon, Zeick, Jasper, Ava, Kaley, Chance, Caden, James, Ashton, Reed, Hazel, Bryan and Jada. Two brothers: Melvin (Cesily) Kane and Art (Olise) Kane. One sister: Mary Ruskowsky, and numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her husband Victor, granddaughter Marlina Sarata, great-granddaughter Brittney Head, her parents, John and Lucy Kane, sisters Evelyn Winchester and Wilma Aldrich and brother Bill Kane.

Doris retired from Consumers Energy after 20 years of service. She was a member of the Moose Lodge and the American Legion Auxiliary. Doris was a very loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.

Mrs. Schultz is at the Desnoyer Funeral Home where a prayer service will be held on Saturday at 1:00 PM followed by the Mass of Christian Burial at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church at 1:30 PM. Father James Shaver will officiate at the Funeral Mass. Private Interment will take place at Roseland Memorial Gardens.

Contributions to Arbor Hospice would be appreciated.

The family will receive friends at the Desnoyer Funeral Home on Friday from 3 to 6 PM.
