Dolsen, Doris M.

of Jackson, passed away on Tuesday, January 29, 2013 at the age of 85 years. She is survived by her husband of 59 years, Warren; three children, Jill (Mark) Curby of Florida, Dan (Kristin) Dolsen of Saline, MI, Joan (Kevin) Storey of Florida; eight grandchildren, James Curby, Michelle (Andrew) Huntt, Michael, David and John Dolsen, Justin (Karla), Ashley and Kelley Storey; four great grandchildren, John and Hailey Huntt, Jordan and Ashton Storey; one sister, Dorothy Gregory of Plainwell, MI.

Doris graduated from Bob Jones University with a BA Degree and from the University of Michigan with an MSW Degree. She was a School Social Worker for Calhoun County for many years, was a longtime and active member of the First Presbyterian Church, was Stephen Minister for several years and was Executive Director of Love, Inc. for 10 years. Doris enjoyed traveling, reading, swimming and bible study.

The family will receive friends at the Desnoyer Funeral Home on Friday from 2–4 and 6–8 PM. A Memorial Service will be held at Vista Grande Villa on Saturday at 2:00 PM with Pastor John A. Toth officiating.
