Henderson, Dora K.

of Jackson, passed away at home under the loving care of her family and friends on Friday, January 15, 2021 at the age of 87 years. She was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Jack D. Henderson. She is survived by six children, Tanya Biami, Renee A. (Charlie) Vinson, Tecla (Jerry), Sabrina (Pierre) Gendron, Michael (Tammy) Henderson, and Joseph (Janis) Henderson; 14 grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren; and special nieces, Jill (Fred) Thomas and Becky (Stu) Cunningham.

Dora was an active member of the Third Order of St. Francis and St. Vincent dePaul Society. She loved to make quilts for her family and friends. Dora hosted many dinners for homeless people and was a volunteer at Lyle A. Torrant Center.

The Mass of Christian Burial will be held at a later date at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church and will be announced in the newspaper.

Those who wish may make memorial contributions to St. Vincent dePaul Society or to St. John Catholic Church.
