On November 18, 2024 Donna Yacuone passed from this life into the loving embrace of the Lord, surrounded by her family. She is survived by her loving husband, Charles Yacuone; her son, Charles Bryan Yacuone; her daughter, Renee (Jason) Wangler; her grandchildren, Abigail Wangler (Alexander Nosbisch), Bryce (Bailey) Wangler, and Brady Wangler; great grandson, Rory Wangler; her siblings, Mary Anne (Richard) Schneider, Linda (Dave) Mateja, Dan (Bernice) Kovach and James (Chris) Kovach; and great grandson, Rory Wangler. She was preceded in death by her parents, Mary and Joseph Kovach; father and mother-in-law, Louis and Ester Yacuone; sister-in-law, Connie Branham; brother-in-law, John Yacuone; and sister-in-law, Anne Yacuone.
Donna was born on June 17, 1947 to Joseph and Mary Kovach. She graduated from Roosevelt High School in 1965. She married her high school sweetheart in 1968 and settled into Trenton, Michigan to raise their family. Donna truly loved family more than anything. If there was a Kovach or Yacuone event happening anywhere, you could guarantee she would be there. She was a doting mother, grandmother, and aunt that loved spending as much time with family as she could. Donna had many friends that she had made throughout her life. She truly treasured her friendships and always made sure she stayed connected no matter what. Donna loved to travel, and some of her favorites were spending winter months in Alabama, cruising anywhere, and her Europe trips to Poland and Italy. She loved living on the lake. They spent many years enjoying boating, summer parties, pontoon potlucks, euchre club and the Yacuone annual Christmas party. On an average day you could find her cooking, crafting her amazing jewelry, listening to prayers on her phone, watching old movies or the Hallmark Channel. She was a devoted daughter of the Catholic Church were she served in many ways throughout her life as a Eucharistic Minister, Adoration, RCIA and Marriage Encounter. Donna was loved by everyone and will be greatly missed.
