Of Jackson passed away under the loving care of her family and the staff at Henry Ford Allegiance Hospice Home on Thursday, June 13, 2019 age 78 years. Survived by her brother Jerry (Diane) LaFaive, sister-in-law, Dolores "Dee" (John) Job, several nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends including special friend and colleague, Dan Crowley. She was preceded in death by her husband of 51 years Ernest J. Ambs, Jr. Donna graduated from St. Mary High School, Jackson Junior College and Michigan State University. Donna taught for 45 years, the majority of time in the Business Department at Lumen Christi High School.

Donna was a member of Queen of the Miraculous Medal Church where she was an Arimathean, Lector, and Eucharistic minister. She was also a member of the Amaranth Club. Her most meaningful accomplishments were marrying her husband Ernie and teaching at Lumen Christi.

According to her wishes Mrs. Ambs has been cremated. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Queen of the Miraculous Medal Catholic Church on Tuesday, June 18, 2019 at 11:00 AM with Father Timothy MacDonald officiating.

The family will receive friends at the Church on Tuesday from 10:00 to 11:00 AM.

In lieu of flowers, donations to Jackson Catholic Schools or Queen's Church would be appreciated.
