Passed away on December 12, 2015 at the age of 88. He is survived by his wife of 67 years Eileen, his 2 children Pam Falk and Amy Scott, Amy's 2 children Erin and Andrew, and his brother James Falk (Lois). He is proceeded in death by his son in law Kevin Scott and his beloved dog Wicket.
Don was born in Grasston Minnesota March 27, 1927. He enlisted in the Navy in 1945 and served in the South Pacific on a Naval Mine Sweeper. After the war Don was hired by Allied Stores Incorporated and eventually in 1953 transferred to Jackson Michigan as controller of the L. H. Field Company. He was subsequently named the store's President. He was on the Lumen Christi board of directors during the construction of Lumen Christi High School, President of the Jackson Transit Authority Board of Directors, and a member of several community boards such as City Bank of Jackson, Jackson County Club and Junior Achievement.
Don treasured the time he spent with his dear golfing friends Bob Craft, Jim Walker, FA Kennedy and his Clarklake buddy Dr. Art Adams. The family enjoyed many wonderful vacations. His grandchildren loved visiting "Pop" at Clark Lake and their home in Sarasota.
According to his wishes Don has been cremated. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Queen of the Miraculous Medal Catholic Church on Saturday, December 19, 2015 at 1:00 PM with Father Timothy MacDonald and Father Thomas Helfrich, O.S.F.S. officiating.
The family will receive friends at Queen's Church on Saturday from 11:30 AM to 1:00 PM.
Instead of flowers the family requests that contributions be made to Queen's Church, St. Rita's Church, Lumen Christi High School, or Shrine Catholic High School in Royal Oak.
