Dolores Ray
Born February 17, 1938, passed away Thursday, December 9 under the tender care of Henry Ford Allegiance Hospice.
Dolores was a caring person, which was reflected in her chosen career as a nurse. She was the Supervisor of Public Health Nursing with the Jackson County Health Department. Dolores was an active member of Queen of the Miraculous Medal Parish, where she was a Lector, Minister of the Eucharist, a regular adorer in the Perpetual Adoration Chapel and a volunteer with the St. Vincent de Paul Society. In her leisure time, she was a Master Gardner, a quilter, and an artist.
Dolores is survived by her nieces, Susan Mann of Fresno CA, Kathleen Edwards of Richmond VA, Karen Kopp of Bedford NH, and her nephew David Degenhardt of Davenport FL, their spouses, partners, children and grandchildren
In lieu of flowers, Dolores asked that donations be made to Queens Parish or the Queens Chapter of the St. Vincent de Paul.
A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at Queens on Friday, December 17 at 11:30 a.m., with Fr. Timothy MacDonald officiating. Interment will take place on Friday, December 17 at 2:30 PM at Battle Creek Memorial Park. Visitation will be one hour prior to Mass.
