Kurzynowski, Diane L.
Age 69, passed away surrounded by her family on Tuesday, February 4, 2020. She was born on May 6, 1950 in Jackson, MI to Charles and Patricia (Hersha) Phillips. On August 31, 1968 she married her best friend and caregiver Hank Kurzynowski who she shared 51+ years of marriage. From that union she is survived by her loving children; Lisa (Frank) Whitehead, Scott (Nicole) Kurzynowski and Nicole (James) Herrington, sixteen grandchildren and four great grandchildren. She is also survived by her mother, Patricia; sisters, Judy Tripp, Vicki (Brian) Baker, and Tami (Chuck) Miller; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father, brother Rick, brother-in-law Ed Tripp and great granddaughter Athena.
She leaves behind her faithful fur baby, Princess, who protected her with all her might.
Diane retired from Jackson County Medical Care Facility after 11 years of service. Although being an excellent care giver at Medical Care, Diane will be most remembered for providing daycare for over 32 years to countless number of children. There wasn't a child that she didn't consider as her own. Her family was the joy of her life. Diane also made numerous friends through her obsession and endless hours of playing card games on the computer.
Mrs. Kurzynowski is at the Desnoyer Funeral Home where a Prayer Service will be held on Friday, February 7, 2020 at 10:00 AM followed by the Mass of Christian Burial at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church at 10:30 AM with Father Chas Canoy as the Celebrant. Interment will take place at St. John's Catholic Cemetery.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, February 6 at the Desnoyer Funeral Home from 3:00 to 7:00 PM with a Scripture Service at 6:30 pm.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
