VanBuren (Cogan), Deonna Bell
of Jackson passed away under the loving care of her family, Great Lakes Hospice, RidgeCrest Health Campus, and her granddaughter, Shari Page at the age of 89 years. She is survived by three children, Daniel (Robert Smalskas), Charles (Michelle), and Larry (Donna); daughter-in-law, Jan VanBuren; eight grandchildren; seventeen great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; five brothers, Ira, Bob, Lyle, Jack, and Harry Cogan; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, son Sammy, husband Myron "Sam" VanBuren, and two brothers, Leon and Roy.
Deonna enjoyed the CASINO, Yatzee, and bingo but most importantly her family.
Mrs. VanBuren is at the Desnoyer Funeral Home where services will be held on Thursday, January 9 at 1:00 PM. A private interment will take place at Chapel Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday from 12:00 Noon until 1:00 PM
In lieu of flowers contributions to the RidgeCrest Activity Fund in Deonna's memory would be appreciated.
