DEVOR, DELPHINE J.
of Jackson passed away Saturday, June 18, 2011. She was born in Jackson on March 11, 1921, to Roy and Teresa Zink Cooper. Delphine was preceded in death by her beloved husband and companion Jerry, her parents, her brother Roy and great grandson Jonathon Pedersen. She is survived by her five sons and their families. Jeffery (Rose) Terrell of Apache Creek, New Mexico, Gerald (Elizabeth) Devor of Palms Springs, Florida, Dr. Daniel (Catherine) Devor of Gibsonia, Pennsylvania, Timothy Devor of Brooklyn, Michigan and Doctors Steven (Kristin) Devor of Upper Arlington, Ohio. Delphine loved to travel, particularly to spend time with her grandchildren. Lori ( William) Pedersen, Sheila (Thomas) Royce, Jeffery (Amber) Terrell, David, Caitlin, Emily, Daniel, and Nicolas Devor. Great Grandchildren Austin, Courtney and Dakota Pedersen, Emma Jean and Gabriel Royce, Khirsten and Izabella Terrell. Delphine retired after 38 years of teaching in the Jackson Public Schools. She graduated from St. Mary's High School in 1938 and received her B.S. in education from Western Michigan University and her M.A. from the University of Michigan. She enjoyed volunteering at Allegiance Health, front desk, for the past 15 years. Mrs. Devor is at the Desnoyer Funeral Home where services will be held on Wednesday at 11:00 AM. Pastor Chad Parmalee officiating. Cremation will follow the funeral service.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM and on Wednesday from 10 AM to 11 AM.
