PENN, DEBORAH JOY

" Momma Penn, Debbie, Aunt Deb, DP", passed away peacefully at the age of 61 years young on October 10th, 2012. Deb was born on October 8th 1951, the oldest daughter of John and Nicky Sargeant. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, sister, daughter, aunt and best friend to many. She is survived by her Husband, Joe Penn; Son, Torrey Penn; Mother, Nicky Sargeant; Brother, Nick Sargeant; Sister, Heidi Ritchison; Niece and Nephews, Codi, Nate, Troy, Andy, Kris, Jake; Great Nieces and Nephews, Gabrielle, Breanna, Abby and Nolan. Preceded in death by her father John Sargeant and her brother Ron Sargeant.

Deb was employed by the Michigan State Lottery for 16 years, a job that she loved. Deb enjoyed playing softball with treasured friends, hitting the slots, bowling, jet skiing, many trips to the ocean with her Sister and Niece soaking up the sun. But most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her family and many friends down on C dock on her boat drinking her favorite boxed wine.

Deb had a lust for life and a spirit that would light up any room she walked into. She always provided guidance without judgment yet with a side of honest truth. Anyone who was lucky enough to know Deb will have memories to look back on with love, joy and laughter to cherish.

We welcome anyone who knew Deb to come remember and celebrate her life with us, this wonderful life of such an amazing person at the Desnoyer Funeral Home during the hours of visitation Saturday, October 13th from 5:00 - 6:00 p.m., with a Memorial Service to follow at 6:00 PM. Rev. Frank Rupnik will officiate at the Memorial Service.
