Deacon/Dr Albert George Krieger

Of Jackson, passed from this life on July 7, 2026. He was born in Chicago on December 30, 1932. He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers and his beloved wife Margaret. Surviving him are his children, Sharie (James) Douglas of Jackson and Margaret (Mark) Brewster of Roscommon, MI.; Grandson, Andrew (Jordan) O'Neil with Great-Grandsons Hudson and Hayden; Granddaughter Michelle Alexander, Great-Granddaughter Aubrey Alexander and Great-Grandson Eastson of Grayling, MI.

He served in the U.S. Army in Japan during the Korean War.

A lifelong classroom teacher of more than forty-five years, he finished his career teaching chemistry for thirty-three years at Jackson Community College.

Ordained a Permanent Deacon in the year 2000, he served at St. Joseph Parish and St. John the Evangelist Parishes in Jackson. He loved God, his family, his church, and his country.

He was a 3rd Degree Member of St Joseph Council 9131 of the Knights of Columbus and a 4th Degree Member of Assembly 2186 of the Knights of Columbus.

The Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Joseph Oratory on Tuesday, July 14, 2026 at 10:30 AM with Father Robert Pienta officiating. Interment will follow at St. John Catholic Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at St. Joseph Oratory on Tuesday from 9:00 AM until 10:30 AM.
