Seffernick, David John
of Rives Junction, passed away on Friday, March 19, 2010 at the age of 68 years. He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Corinne (Jaworski) Seffernick; four daughters, Tammy (Pat) Stewart, Cindy (Scott) Allen, Lori Spitler, Carrie (Ben) Pierce; three grandchildren, David & Anna Allen, Daniel Pierce; his mother, Elizabeth Seffernick; five brothers, Bob (Diane), Tim (Deb), John (Sandy), Jim (Qi), Bill (Mary); six sisters, Lois (Dave) Yeager, Nancy (Glen) Stuard, Betty (Bob) Kubish, Carol (Matt) Shannon, Sue Seffernick, Mary (James) Washington; numerous nieces and nephews. David was preceded in death by his father, John "Carl" Seffernick and his grandson, William John Allen. David was retired from Otis Elevator after 26 years of service and from the University of Michigan after 10 years of service. He enjoyed attending many activities for his grandchildren, hunting and fishing.
The family will receive friends at the Desnoyer Funeral Home on Monday from 2–4 and 6–8 PM and on Tuesday from 10:30 AM until the time of the service at 12:00 Noon. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday at 12:00 Noon. Reverend John Doud will be officiating. According to David's wishes, cremation will follow the funeral service.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Relay for Life of Jackson-"Grandpa's Kids".
