Gennety, David G.
Passed away under the loving care of his family and Henry Ford Allegiance Hospice on Saturday, March 23, 2019 at the age of 77 years. Survived by his wife of 53 years, Judith A. Gennety; two sons, Thomas (Fiona) and Michael (Tiffany); one granddaughter, Allesandra; one sister, Carol Undeen; and several nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by infant son, James and brothers, Bill and Don.
David graduated from St. John's High School in 1960. He owned his own barber shop in Jackson for over 55 years. He was an avid bowler and a longstanding member of the Jackson Bowling Association. He was also an avid fisherman and a member of the Wolf Lake Yacht Club.
Mr. Gennety is at the Desnoyer Funeral Home where a prayer service will be held at 10:00 AM on Thursday, March 28, 2019 followed by the Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 AM at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church. Fr. Robert Pienta will be the celebrant. Interment will follow at St. John's Catholic Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday, March 27 from 2:00 to 4:00 PM and from 6:00 to 8:00 PM with a Vigil Service at 7:00 PM.
Contributions to the American Cancer Society or to Henry Ford Allegiance Hospice would be appreciated.
