Foster, David Lee
Passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his family on Tuesday, February 9, 2021 at the age of 75 years. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Janet A. Foster; three children, Kimberly (Mark) Lasky, Kellie (Nikita) Anderson, and David (Tammy) Foster; eight grandchildren, Ashily (Steve) Donlan, Tyler Lasky, Rebecca (Jon Frost) Lasky, Anika Anderson, Griffin Foster, Nolan Foster, Raegan Foster, and Dylan Foster; three great grandsons, Kyrin and Felix Donlan and Ezekiel Taylor; sister, Julie Foster; and several in-laws, nieces, nephews, and many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Chalmer Foster Jr.; and grandson, Marcus Lasky.
David was born in Jackson, Michigan on February 14, 1945 to Chalmer and Caroline Foster. He graduated from Jackson High in 1963 and worked for Miller Truck and Storage for 38 years. David was a devoted husband, father, grandpa and also became known as PAPA. He enjoyed fishing and his love for wood work. He was very skilled in his hand-crafted wood work from remodeling his home to his beloved cabin up north. David has made each grandchild a clock to be given as wedding presents. David and Janet loved to travel, from France to Alaska and all over the USA. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who knew him.
A special thank you to Henry Ford Allegiance Hospice for their care and compassion shown to David.
