Dzierwa, David John
Passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 3, 2024 in Jackson, Michigan at the age of 83. David was born on February 5, 1941 in Grand Rapids, Michigan. He is preceded in death by his parents, Bernard and Ann (Urban) Dzierwa.
Dave is survived by his devoted wife, Barbara (Ross) Dzierwa, his sister, Patricia Conlin, and his four children and their spouses: Steve (Lisa Archambault) Dzierwa and their children Andrew, Alycia, and Blair; Tom (Keli Kornak) Dzierwa and their children Taylor, Karsan, Spencer, and Ross; Lauri (Shawn) Adair and their children Austin, Reagan, Jensen, and Jack; Amy (Paul) Kulas and their children Parker, Thomas and Kennedy.
Dave's family was the cornerstone of his life and he never missed an opportunity to memorialize their milestones through photography and videography. Dave and Barbara started their love story as high school sweethearts which blossomed into 62 years of marriage. Dave pursued higher education at Michigan Technological University, where he earned his Master's Degree in Geophysical Engineering which he used in the oil and gas industry. Dave's career led him on an adventurous journey having the opportunity to live in several states; California, Texas, Louisiana, and Canada where they made lifelong friends at every stop. Throughout his life, Dave maintained a deep passion for golf. When not on the golf course, Dave could often be found working in his yard, taking pride in creating a beautiful outdoor space for his family to gather. As a child, Dave served the Catholic Church as an altar boy which led to his participation in many church functions as an adult, including the Knights of Columbus. His love of sports was centered around the activities of his children and grandchildren; however, he never missed a Michigan State basketball game. He will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by those who had the honor of knowing him.
According to his wishes, cremation has taken place and honoring his family's wishes, no public service will be held at this time. Instead of sending flowers, contributions to the Henry Ford Allegiance Hospice Home would be appreciated.
