He is also survived by many extended family members and good friends especially those wonderful people who graduated with him from St. John High School Class of 1956.

He was employed by Walker Manufacturing and Aeroquip and retired from Blackman Charter Township as Assistant Assessor. He also served in the Army National Guard.
He especially enjoyed working in his woodshop designing and building furniture for family members. When his health allowed, he also liked golfing and he participated in the AARP bowling league for several years.
Darrell has been a member of St. Joseph Parish for his entire life and served as an usher for many years. He actively supported the annual parish festivals and was a member of the St. Vincent dePaul Society. Both Darrell and Rita were proud to direct the food pantry at St. Joseph Parish for many years.
Until his health recently prevented it, this wonderful man could be found every night kneeling bedside saying his night prayers with his hands reverently folded and pointed to Heaven. He was a kind and gentle man and will be greatly missed by those who love him.
