Daniel L. Sitko

SITKO, DANIEL L.
Of Jackson, passed away in Palm Springs, California on January 23, 2010, as the result of an accident at the age of 64 years. He was born June 14, 1945 to A. Charles and Cecilia Sitko. He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Mary; three sons, Philip (Sandra) Sitko, John (Lyla) Sitko and Steven (Sara) Sitko. Three granddaughters, Allison, Julia and Avery Sitko. Two brothers, Richard and Charles (Rita) Sitko. Sister, Marcia (Jim) Johnston and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. Daniel graduated from St. John's High School in 1963 and Green's Barber College in 1964. He was a barber at the Hayes Hotel when he met his wife. He was a United States Army Veteran. Daniel joined Consumers Energy in 1973 and retired in 2003 as a Business Support Consultant. Daniel had a passion for music and his Polish heritage. He played the accordion with the Hy-Notes for 30+ years. He also loved playing the organ in church. According to his wishes Daniel has been cremated. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Joseph Catholic Church Friday, February 19th at 10:30 AM. Private burial at St. John's Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the Desnoyer Funeral Home Thursday from 2 to 8 PM. Vigil Service Thursday 5:30 PM.
