of Grass Lake, passed away with his family by his side, on Friday, September 20, 2013 at the age of 75. He is survived by his loving wife of 23 years, Dolores Bannan. He is survived by one son, Robert (Tamara) Bannan, and one daughter, Kathleen (William) Swift; five step children, Cynthia (Dean) Bennett, Susan (Mark) Healey, Sharon (Joseph) Chmiel, Sandra (James) Wilson, and Frank (Robin) Nastally. He is also survived by several grandchildren and great grandchildren, including special grandsons; Eric Job, Jacob Mead, Tim Job, along with special granddaughter; Amanda Bannan; two brothers; Phillip Bannan, Terry (Chris) Bannan; one sister; Connie (Mike) Barnes; several nieces and nephews and special friend George Smith. Dan was preceded in death by his parents; William and Emma Bannan; and one stepson; Kenneth Nastally.

Dan retired from Consumers Power Company after 31 years of service as a lineman. He was a life long, avid farmer, member of the Knights of Columbus and The Polish Falcons Nest 336, where he received the Legion of Honor Award. His greatest joy was spending time with his family and friends.

Mr. Bannan is at the Desnoyer Funeral Home where a prayer service will be held on Wednesday, September 25 at 10:00 A.M., followed by the Mass of Christian Burial at St. Stanislaus Kostka Catholic Church at 10:30 AM. Rev. James Shaver will be the celebrant at the funeral Mass. Interment will be at St. John's Catholic Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the Desnoyer Funeral Home on Tuesday, September 24, from 2-4 and 6-8 PM.

Those who wish, may make memorial contributions to the Polish Falcons Scholarship Fund or St. Stanislaus Kostka Catholic Church.
