Of 110 Dettman Road apt 320 had been dealing with many health issues over the past year and gradually succumbed last Wednesday the 26th of May to various ailments. She was born on 25 December 1938, Memphis, Tennessee and died 26 May, 2010 Allegiance Hospital, Jackson, Michigan. Cora's family includes her sister Ruthie Kellum, nieces Hope Bentley, Joy Kellum, of Bolingbrook Illinois, nephew John Valentine of Atlanta Georgia, James Ahmad of Chicago, Illinois, Charles Kellum of Jackson, Mi, Derek Kellum, Chris Kellum of Dixon, Illinois. Cora loved people and worked to share kindness with everyone she met each day. This quality served her well throughout her life, showing loving kindness for her family, for her patients as a career nurse, and as one of Jehovah's Witnesses during the last seven years of her life. For thirty years she had been a nurse in Chicago and Jackson. She enjoyed the community at Maple Ridge apartments. The medical staff at Allegiance Hospital, Jackson County Medical Care Facility, Allegiance Senior Health Center, Allegiance General Surgery, Center for Hematology-Oncology of S. MI, among many others worked hard to help Cora in her last year. She often expressed and showed her appreciation for their hard work.

Visitation will be held at Desnoyer Funeral Home, 204 N. Blackstone St, Jackson, on Saturday the fifth of June from 12 to 2 pm, with a memorial service to follow at five o'clock at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses at 3377 Dettman Rd. (south of Seymour Rd.
