Kirtland (Adams), Colleen G.

Of Jackson, passed away due to congestive heart failure under the loving care of her family and the staff at Senior Moments on Sunday, January 19, 2025 at the age of 91 years.  She is survived by her loving nieces and nephew, Donna (Owen) Stetler, Linda McGarvey, Jerry Adams, and her beloved "Little Dog" Chloe of 14 years.  She was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, Rodney; parents, Vernon B. and Kathryn H. Adams; and brother, Donald V. Adams.

Colleen was the past President of the Junior Dorcas Society and Jaycee Auxiliary.  She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church and an office volunteer.  In her early years, she was in the secretarial field and worked the elections at Summit Township.  Colleen was well known in the sewing field for costuming and designing.  She worked with the Jackson College Starfleet Ambassadors where she made and altered costumes.  She co-partnered with her mother and had the Lady Bug Shop.

Mrs. Kirtland is at the Desnoyer Funeral Home where a Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, January 23, 2025 at 11:00 AM with Pastor David Schell officiating.  A private interment will be held at Woodland Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday, January 23 from 10:00 to 11:00 AM.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in Colleen's memory may be made to the Kibby Park Animal Hospital.
