Gamin, Clyde Theodore "Ted" Jr .
Returned home to meet the Lord on Tuesday, October 3, 2017. Ted was born to Clyde and Marguerite (Heath) Gamin on November 16, 1947 in Jackson Michigan at Mercy Hospital. He attended school at St. Johns in Jackson, where he graduated in 1965. After graduating, he went into the Army and served his country in Vietnam as a helicopter crew chief. Following his honorable discharge from the Army, he spent the next 46 years working at Coca Cola, Wholesome Foods, retiring in 2011 as a Technician with the State of Michigan. In September 2000, he married Patty Coe spending the next 17 years loving and living life together as one.
Ted enjoyed hobbies of cars, golfing, fishing and hunting. He especially enjoyed fall hunting trips with his cousin Tom Babcock and friends. Later in life, he and wife Patty enjoyed the many new friends they developed while spending winters in Galveston Texas. He was preceded in death by his parents, Clyde and Marguerite and infant son Todd Michael.
He is survived by wife Patty Gamin; sister, Judith Converse; brothers, Jim (Sheila) and Chris Gamin; cousin, Thomas (Marcia) Babcock; step sons, Jim (Robin) Coe and Jeff (Tammy) Coe; step daughter, Jessica Coe, and grandchildren, Isabella and Jayden Coe, as well as numerous cousins and nephews.
The Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church on Saturday, October 7 at 10:30 AM with Father Brian Lenz as the celebrant. The family will receive friends prior to the Mass, from 9:30 to 10:30 AM.
Instead of sending flowers the family suggests that you consider making a memorial contribution to the Vietnam Veterans of America.
