Klavon, Christopher John

born August 16, 1959, passed away peacefully in his home October 31, 2019. He was a loving, supportive, and encouraging man to his family and the community he cherished. He spent his time giving to others through his motivational speeches, inspirational writing, and his dedication to those he loved most. Chris was ever present in the lives of his grandchildren and carried a smile that could light up any room. He enjoyed fishing, cooking up concoctions from veggies grown in his garden, building things in his garage for his family, and making friends out of complete strangers.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Kay, mother, Waneta and father, Walter.

He is survived by his 4 children: Alan (Carrie) Klavon, Corey (Natasha) Klavon, Erin Klavon and Matthew (Sophia) Klavon, 6 grandchildren he adored Kaylynn, Caden, Addison, Connor, Kaylee, Elizabeth, and his siblings, Linda Klavon and Tom (Leann) Klavon.

Visitation will be held from 10-11am at St. John Catholic Church, in Jackson, MI on Saturday, November 23rd.

A memorial service will be held at St. John Catholic Church, in Jackson, MI on Saturday, November 23rd at 11:00am with Fr. James Shaver officiating.
