Page, Christine Diane

passed away at her home, surrounded by her family, on Friday, June 3, 2011 at the age of 64 years. She is survived by her husband, Bill; three children, Buff (Julie) Page, Paige (Mike) Crowley, Ted (Kara) Page; six grandchildren, Caleb, Hunter, Noah, Nathan, Logan and Emma Page; siblings, James William Roe, Cheryl Darlene Roe, Jerry Walter (deceased) Mary Roe. Christine was preceded in death by her parents, Clyde William Roe and Norma Loretta (Watts) Roe.

Christine loved spending time with her family and especially enjoyed watching her grandchildren's sporting events. She was a graduate of Michigan State University and then went on to teach at East Jackson Community Schools for 34 years with a special interest in Reading Recovery. She enjoyed art, doing paintings and sculpture. She loved to travel, read, go to Broadway shows, exercise and was interested in politics. She also loved her pets-- Sparty, Trooper and Ciara.

Christine is at the Desnoyer Funeral Home where a Prayer Service will be held on Tuesday at 9:30 AM followed by the Mass of Christian Burial at St. Mary Star of the Sea Catholic Church at 10:00 AM. Father Mathias Thelen will be the celebrant.

The family will receive friends at the Desnoyer Funeral Home on Monday from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 PM. A Rosary Service will be held at the funeral home on Monday at 7:00 PM.


In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Christine's name may be made to Lumen Christi High School or Cascades Humane Society.
