Formerly of Jackson, Michigan, passed away April 23rd, 2011 after her fight with Colon Cancer. Born March 8th, 1932, to Eda and Milo Bolen in East Tawas, Michigan, she married John David Gribble and enjoyed 52 plus years of marriage. Christine loved playing bridge and Canasta and when living in Jackson she played golf with the league called "The Dubbers". Mom was an active member in Jackson Lioness Club; she was certified to perform pre-school and elementary school eye exams. Mom and Dad retired and moved to Sun City West Arizona in December of 1984. While in Sun City West she took classes to do needle point and other crafts and was a member of the Sun City West R.V. Club and Photography Club. She was a member of the Yoopers Club and every March would host a very large St. Patrick's Day party.
Christine was preceded in death by her son Thomas and her husband John. She is survived by her children, Jacqueline Winters (special friend, Earl Mullins) of Dansville, Cheryl (Greg) Meschke of Brooklyn, John (Elaine) Gribble of Jackson, her grandchildren, Amy Lammers (special friend Cory Blair), William Lammers, Michelle Meschke (and fiancé Adam Pfeiffer), and Brian Meschke; Ashley, Daniel and Joshua Gribble; Great-grandchildren Myron Lammers and Caleb Blair; and several nieces and nephews. Cremation has taken place and the family will have a private memorial service at Queens Church. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or the charity of your choice.
