Pressman, Charles Donald

passed away on Thursday, October 27, 2016. He is survived by his wife of 55 years Sandra Pressman, three children: Stephanie Rosenberg (Matt Rosenberg), Jill Pressman (Elliot Montes) and Hugh Pressman and four grandchildren: Jake Schwartz, Westley Grove, Nathan and Sydney Rosenberg

He grew up in Chicago, leaving to study engineering at the University of Illinois. In the late 50's, he joined the Navy, where he was introduced to his lifetime passion, flying airplanes. He became an aircraft carrier pilot. Soon after, he met the love of his life, Sandra Faye Burstein. They were married in 1960. They then moved to South Bend, Indiana where he had various business endeavors, including starting a commuter airline to Chicago. They decided to take the big journey out west in 1971 and moved to Scottsdale, Arizona where they raised their 3 children. They lived there for 43 years. After retiring, they took up world traveling and traveled all over the globe. He loved camping, fishing, skiing and flying airplanes. In Aug. 2015, they moved to Jackson to be closer to family.

Services will be Sunday, October 30 at 4:00 pm at Temple Beth Israel Jewish Synagogue, 801 W. Michigan Ave., Jackson, MI, 49202. Interment will follow at Temple Beth Israel Cemetery in Jackson.
