Huyett, Charles L.
Formerly of Jackson, passed away on Friday, March 16, 2018 at the Hospice House of Mid-Michigan in Lansing with his family by his side at the age of 88 years. Survived by two daughters, Dawn Easter and Wendi (Michael) Scanlon; five grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; one sister, Joan Lee-Mayer; two nieces; one nephew; and several great nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his parents, Martin and Laura Huyett.
Charles was a United States Navy Veteran. He received a Master's Degree from the University of Iowa and taught at Jackson Community College for many years. He enjoyed traveling abroad.
Interment with Military Honors for Mr. Huyett will be held at Ft. Custer National Cemetery in Augusta, Michigan.
Should friends desire, contributions in Charles' memory may be made to the Hospice House of Mid-Michigan, 1210 W Saginaw Street, Lansing, MI 48915 or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105 would be appreciated.
