Minder, Charles E. "Bud"

Passed away peacefully in God's arms at home on Tuesday, April 25, 2023 at the age of 89 years surrounded by his earthly family to join his beloved heavenly family.

He leaves behind his loving wife of 69 years, Evelyn Minder.  Also to cherish his memory are his children, Vanessa Wahr, Lorenda Videto, Theresa (Shawn) Gifford, Nancy (William) White, Dawn (Dave) Hines, and Charles J. Minder; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Virgil and Violet Minder; brothers, Bobby and Jack Minder; and sister, Virginia Salyer.

Bud was the co-owner of Minder's IGA in Vandercook Lake. He was a member of St. Mary Star of the Sea Catholic Church where he ushered at Mass for many years. He was also a founding member of the Vandercook Lake Lions Club. He enjoyed bowling, golfing, fishing, hunting and spending time with his family.

The Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, April 28, 2023 at 10:30 AM at St. Mary Star of the Sea Catholic Church with Father Timothy Nelson as the Celebrant.  Interment will follow at St. John Catholic Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the Desnoyer Funeral Home on Thursday, April 27 from 5:00 to 8:00 PM with a Rosary Service at 5:00 PM.  The family will also receive friends before the Mass at St. Mary Star of the Sea Catholic Church on Friday, April 28 from 10:00 to 10:30 AM.
