78, of Concord, formerly of Jackson, passed away peacefully under the care of Chelsea Retirement Community and Arbor Hospice on Tuesday, July 11, 2017.  Bill was born in Jackson, Michigan to Charles E. Rogers and Marian M. Rogers on July 22,1938. Bill graduated from St. John's High School and received an Associates degree from Jackson Junior College. Bill worked for the US Post Office for 35 years. He served in the National Guard. He is a past President of Polish Falcons of America Nest 336 where he was a member for over 60 years. Bill has been a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church his entire life. Bill's Catholic faith was very important to him. He was a steadfast Notre Dame fan.

Bill is survived by brothers, Steve (Barb) Rogers of Phoenix, Arizona, Ron (Marcia) Rogers of Jackson, Mary Mattice, love of his life of 26 years, of Concord, nieces and nephews Steve, Sheila (Jeff), Brenda (Bricker), Jim, Mick and Jennifer (Ken); stepdaughters, Becki and Wendy (Jerry) and stepson, Tim (Tracy) and five step-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister Mary Lou Schnable.

Bill's Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, July 14, 2017 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church at 11:00 am with visitation beginning at 10:00 am with Father Brian Lenz as the celebrant. A private interment will take place at St. John's Catholic Cemetery.

Instead of flowers the family suggests that memorial contributions be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. Special thanks to the staff at St. Joseph Mercy Hospital Chelsea for the wonderful care and especially the ICU doctors and nurses.
