Kate ("Koko") worked as a waitress at the Regent Café in the late 1930s and at Sparks-Withington during WWII. Kate enjoyed crafts, painting, home improvement projects, crocheting, jigsaw puzzles and was an avid reader until Macular Degeneration deprived her of these pleasures.

Kate was a wonderful Mom, Grandma and Great-Grandma. She was genuinely interested in all the people she met over the years. She was a sweet and caring lady who will be missed by all that knew her. Her family was her life and she proved that every day in so many ways. The family would like to thank the staff at Vista Grande Villa Health Center and Southern Care Hospice for her wonderful care.

The Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Mary Star of the Sea Church, Jackson, MI, on Tuesday, August 8, 2017 at 10:30 a.m. with Fr. Tim Nelson officiating. A private interment will take place at St. John's Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will occur at the Church one hour prior to Mass. Catherine was previously a member at St. Stanislaus Church.

In lieu of flowers, contributions to the Diabetes Association, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or St. Mary Church would be appreciated.
