Walczak, Casimer J. "Chuck"
of Jackson, passed away on Wednesday, May 31, 2017 at the age of 85 years. Survived by his wife of 59 years, Jean; children, Carol (Steve) Kwaske, Joseph (Ali) Walczak, Ann (Scott) Kueffner, Julie (Jeff Beers) Walczak, Laura Walczak, and Greg Walczak; son-in-law, Stephen Loring; grandchildren, Katie (Paul) Phillips; Shawn Loring, Matthew, Erin, Joan, and Anne Kwaske; Andrew, Lindsay, and Marie Walczak; Peter, Evan, Elise, and Cecelia Kueffner; Karen and Daniel Haught; one great granddaughter, Norah Phillips; two sisters, Cecelia (John) Olinyk and Sophie Lefere; and numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his daughter, Theresa Loring and his parents, Mary and Joseph Walczak; sisters, Elizabeth Meisner, Victoria Seitz, Martha Fryt, and Josephine Havens; and his in-laws, George and Ina Holzworth.
Casimer graduated from St. Mary's and Jackson Business University. He was a United States Navy Veteran. He retired from Markowski and Company. Casimer was a devout Catholic who enjoyed home remodeling and he was an avid Red Wings fan.
The Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, June 3 at 10:00 AM at St. Mary Star of the Sea Catholic Church with his nephew, Fr. Robert Pienta and Fr. Tim Nelson as the celebrants. According to his wishes, cremation will take place after the funeral mass.
The family will receive friends at the Desnoyer Funeral Home on Friday, June 2 from 2:00 to 8:00 PM with a Rosary Service at 7:00 PM. The family will also receive friends at the church from 9:30 to 10:00 AM.
