Carolyn Kay Fleming

age 76, of Jackson, Mi, passed away at her home on October 24, 2016. Carolyn grew up in Salamonia, Indiana. She graduated with her LPN degree from Jackson Community College. She was a kind, compassionate, loving, wife and mother. She will be missed by a multitude of friends, including Jim Balfour, Bonnie Cummings and many others. She is survived by her loving husband of 52 years, Tom, her two daughters, Colleen Stapley, Maureen Kim, (John,) son Tom, (Renee) and six grandchildren, Scott, Eric, Conner, Gabi, Dakota and Randi, and one sister, Connie Frederick. She was predeceased by her mother, Darlene Taylor, and father, Kenneth Metcalf, two brothers, John and Kenneth L. Metcalf and sister, June Clark.

Mrs. Fleming is at the Desnoyer Funeral Home where a prayer service will be held on Thursday, October 27th at 10:00 am followed by the Mass of Christian Burial at St. Joseph Oratory at 10:30 am with Fr. James Shaver officiating. Interment will follow at South Jackson Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 pm with a vigil service at 7pm.
