ETTERS, CAROLYN ANN
Died Monday at her home at the age of 82. Carolyn was born on
September 16, 1928 in Toledo, Ohio, the daughter of Carlton F. Granthen, Sr. and Sigrid
I. Blankenhagen. She was a beloved mother, sister, grandmother of eight, great-grandmother and devoted wife. Carolyn was preceded in death by her husband Richard N. Etters. She is survived by her brother Carlton F. (Diane J.) Granthen, Jr. of Traverse City, MI, and her five children: David C. (Marcia) Etters, Philip R. (Susan) Etters, Richard W. (Juanita) Etters, Deborah C. (Robert) Podgers, and Thomas E. Etters. Carolyn also leaves many, many dear friends that she made wherever she went.
A memorial service will be held at Pathway Community Church, 5525 Clinton Rd, Jackson,
MI 49201 at 3:00pm Saturday May 7, 2011, Pastor Scott Hardaway officiating. In lieu of
flowers, the family requests contributions to be made to Pathway Community Church or
Allegiance Hospice for all the loving care they provided.
