Carolyn Esther Basner

BASNER, CAROLYN ESTHER

of Jackson, passed away on Friday, April 13, 2012 at the age of 83 years. Carolyn leaves her husband of 65 years, Gerald Basner. They resided in Jackson, Michigan for the past several years. Previous to that time Carolyn and Gerald lived in Roswell, New Mexico from 1992 thru 2004. Carolyn graduated from Hemlock High School in Hemlock, Michigan.

Carolyn is fondly remembered by her son, two daughters, and spouses. Dennis and Deborah Basner of Dearborn; Robin and Bob Melton of Grass Lake; Merri Kay and David Mikoryak of Zionsville, Indiana. She is also remembered by six grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Carolyn has one brother, Arvin Peterson, who resides in Hemlock, Michigan; sister-in-law, Frances (Peterson) Pasch. She is predeceased by her parents; one sister, Marion Peterson; one brother, Harold Peterson; Arvin's wife, Shirley Peterson.

According to her wishes, Carolyn has been cremated. A Memorial Service will be held at Redeemer Lutheran Church, 3637 Spring Arbor Rd., Jackson, MI on Saturday, April 28, 2012 at 11:00 AM with Pastor Michael Geml officiating.
