Carole Lee Fitzgerald (Rowe)

Passed away on December 18, 2025.  She was born December 30, 1938 and married Joseph in 1960.  She was preceded in death: son, Timothy John Fitzgerald; father, Orville Rowe; mother, Josephine Olen McAvoy; uncles and aunts-Robert and Mary Hill, Clarence Cook, and Martha Cook; cousins-Norman Cook, Lowell (Betty) Cook, and Gary Cook; and grandparents-Levi and Nevada Edgar and James and Evealena Rowe.  She is survived by her husband, Joseph Duane Fitzgerald of 65 years; daughter, Cathy Fitzgerald (Chris Butler); grandchildren-Jordan Lee (Craig) Pitcock and Derek Taylor Fitzgerald; great grandchildren-Charlee Sue Pitcock, Ryker Allan Pitcock, Brecken Timothy Pitcock (Logan Pitcock), and Everet Joseph Fitzgerald; brother-in-law Donald Dean Fitzgerald, Nephews-Mike Fitzgerald, David (Chrissie) Fitzgerald, Steve Fitzgerald, great nieces and nephews-Tori and Kaila Fitzgerald, Brianna and Matt Fitzgerald.

Carole was a past member of Woman of the Moose and Red Hats.  She graduated from Jackson High School.  She also worked at City Bank, bookkeeper for 5 years, Goodwill Industries Finance for 18 years, and retired from Northwest School District in Accounting.  Carole loved to fish, watch Tigers baseball games, go up North, travel to Florida for the winter and loved working in the yard and planting flowers even weeding.  Her fondest memories living on her grandparents farm in Bellevue and doing things with her beloved grandfather Levi.

The Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, December 29, 2025 at 11:00 AM at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church with Father Chas Canoy officiating.  Interment will follow at St. John Catholic Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the Desnoyer Funeral Home on Sunday, December 28 from 2:00 to 5:00 PM with a prayer service at 4:00 PM led by Pastor Justin Nierer followed by a time of remembrance offered by her daughter, Cathy.  A Rosary Service will start at 4:30 PM.  The family will also receive friends at the Church on Monday from 10:30 to 11:00 AM.
