Rumler, Carol L.

of Jackson, passed away on Tuesday, September 27, 2016 at the age of 83 years. She is survived by her husband of 58 years, James B.; one son, Greg (Jennifer) Rumler; one daughter, Joan Colligan; seven grandchildren, Alexis, Edward, Nikki, Stephen, Natalie, John and Elizabeth; two sisters-in-law, Jean Rumler and Jeanne Yonan. Carol was an elementary school teacher with the Jackson Public Schools for many years and then was a volunteer coordinator at St. John School for several years. She was also a member of St. John Parish Altar Society. She was a member of the first graduating class at Michigan State University in 1955. She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her children and grandchildren.

Mrs. Rumler is at the Desnoyer Funeral Home where a Prayer Service will be held on Monday, October 3 at 9:30 AM followed by the Mass of Christian Burial at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church at 10:00 AM with Father James Shaver as the celebrant. Interment will follow at St. John's Catholic Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the Desnoyer Funeral Home on Sunday, October 2, from 2:00 to 5:00 PM with a Rosary Service at 4:30 PM.
