Of Jackson went to be with the Lord on Friday, March 30, 2012. She passed away surrounded by her loving family and Allegiance Hospice. Carol was preceded in death by her father Charles D. Kerby, mother Susan E. Kerby, brother Gregory "Mike" Kerby, father in law Lyle M. Harrington, mother in law Beatrice Harrington and her nephew Mark. She is survived by her devoted and loving husband Lyle R. "Butch" Harrington, Daniel her son and special friend Beth Rhode. Mary, her daughter and son in law Jim Johnston. Her special grandchildren; Christy and Jimmy Johnston. She is also survived by Shirley and Bob Lewis, Charles "Trent" Kerby, Janis Moor, Rebecca and Charles Grenier, Robyn and Michael Reinerth, Barbara Gass and many nieces and nephews.

Carol was especially devoted to nature and enjoyed putting her interpretations on canvas. Her first love was transposing Michigan wildlife into lifelike replicas. Later in her career she preferred doing landscapes. Carol cherished being around her family and sharing stories about her grandchildren. They were her pride and joy and brought much light into her world.

According to her wishes Carol has been cremated. The will be no visitation or a memorial service at this time.
