Bemer, Carlton William "Bill"

of Jackson, passed away at his home on Saturday, September 3, 2011 at the age of 68 years. He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Janice; three children, William (Terri) Bemer, Steve Bemer and Debra (Marty) Bemer-Bloomer. He was preceded in death by one son, James "Bino" Bemer. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren, William II, Zachary, Jacob, Samuel, Steven II, Tim, Anthony, Joseph, James, Dairik, Colline and Alton; two great grandchildren, James II and Jazamay; four sisters, Candance (Terry) Hively, Connie (Val) Hirscht, Carol Mary (Kurt) Peoples, Cynthia (Scott Mercer) Bemer-Flanagan; brother-in-law, John William Shank; sister-in-law, Betty (Robert) Hawkins; many nieces, nephews, cousins and his beloved dog, Max.

Bill retired from Alro Steel after 44 years of service, was a member of the National Guard for 23 years, was a member of the Polish Falcons for many years and was an avid fan of auto racing.

The family will receive friends at the Desnoyer Funeral Home on Tuesday from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 PM. A Scripture Service will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday at 7:00 PM.

A Prayer Service will be held at the Desnoyer Funeral Home on Wednesday at 10:00 AM followed by the Mass of Christian Burial at Queen of the Miraculous Medal Catholic Church at 10:30 AM. Reverend Father Mathias Thelen will be the celebrant. Interment will take place at St. John's Catholic Cemetery.
