Ludwig, Bonnie

Loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and dear friend to all, passed away with her children by her side on Monday, November 9, 2020 at the age of 72. Bonnie succumbed to illness after a long and courageous battle, but not without a fight, which if you knew her was expected. She is survived by her loving son Chad (Jennifer) Ludwig, and daughter Katherine (Adam) Diehl; 5 grandchildren; Lucy, Collin, Kyle, Andrew and Avery. She is also survived by her brothers William (Sharon) Morris, Simon (Mary) Morris, Will (Murlene) Morris, Benjamin (Debbie) Morris, sister Patti Hoffman and many nieces, nephews and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband Dennis, her parents William and Della (McCarty) Morris, in-laws Frank and Catherine (Treciak) Ludwig, brother Earl Morris, sister Della JoAnne Garred and niece Amanda Pohl.

Bonnie grew up in Niles, MI with her parents and siblings then moved to Jackson and graduated from Jackson High School. She furthered her education, graduating from Ross Medical School. Bonnie met the love of her life Denny, whom she was married to 46 years until Denny's passing in 2019. Bonnie started working at a young age in the medical field, working at Mercy Hospital in Jackson, W.A. Foote Memorial Hospital where she was known as "Sam", and finished her career at Blake Woods Surgical Center.

Bonnie dedicated many years volunteering her time with the Toys for Tots Foundation in the Jackson area, giving back to the community she loved living in. Bonnie also enjoyed bowling with friends and family, spending time at her vacation home up north in Kalkaska with Denny, and sewing.

Bonnie dedicated her life and love to her family. Even if you weren't family she made you feel like you were family. She never missed a special event, a milestone, or a grandchild's game. She was so proud of her family supporting them and lending herself whenever she was needed. Bonnie was born to make others smile and feel welcomed. She was honored to show hospitality to others, and if you knew Bonnie you were a better person. She always gave to others and continued to do so until the end. Bonnie was greatly loved and will be deeply missed by those who knew her. With peace, love, and graciousness you are home with your love.
