White, Betty
Entered the gates of eternal life on the evening of November 3rd, 2021 peacefully surrounded by her loving family. Betty was a greatly loved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. She was born in Jackson, MI on December 8th, 1930, daughter of Remi and Madeline Pauwels. She was the loving wife of Robert White for 61 years who preceded her in death in July 2019. Betty had three children Michael (Mili) White, Douglas White and Debby (Mark) Junewick; five grandchildren, Remi (Clayton) Brackett, Maitri White, Jacob Junewick, Alexis Junewick and Bodhi White; siblings Sister Remi Pauwels , William A. (Mary Lu) Pauwels Sr. and Mary Jane (Bill) Tobin as well as many nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by her sister, Dorothy Hagen.
Though Betty moved several times throughout her life, Jackson was always home. She was a devout Catholic, a long-time volunteer for the Knights of Columbus with her husband Bob, and a generous member of St. John's Catholic Church. Some of the happiest times of her life were spent with Bob at their retirement home on Lake Huron. Betty loved opening her home to family and friends, hosting with food and drink and making everyone feel at home. Betty had special way about her making everyone feel welcome.
The last two years of Betty's life were spent under the care of her loving daughter Debby. She got to live the rest of her life surrounded by her family every day. Betty's family would like to thank everyone for their support during this time of grief.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Jackson, MI on Tuesday November 9, 2021 at 11:00 AM with Father James Shaver officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to mass and a luncheon will immediately follow.
