Patla, Betty
of Jackson, Michigan was born on January 18, 1931 and passed away on Tuesday, December 19, 2017 peacefully in her sleep, with her loving husband by her side. Leaving her husband, Leo Patla, behind after 66 years of marriage. Also survived by cousin, Dan (Elaine) Mandreger, god daughter Margaret (Dan) Schafer and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Jake and Jane Jacoby. Betty graduated from Saint Mary's High School in 1949 and married the love of her life, Leo on June 6, 1951. Betty was an Occupation Medical Assistant, lifetime member of Queen of the Miraculous Medal Catholic Church where she was a member of the Women's Circle. Leo and Betty were also one of the original members of the Adoration Chapel at Queens Church. Betty also volunteered for many years at the Saint Joseph Home for Boys. She was a long-time bowler and a member of the Jackson Bowling Hall of Fame. She loved and enjoyed casino trips with Ollies Group.
The Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Queen of the Miraculous Medal Catholic Church on Saturday, January 6 at 10:30 AM with Father Timothy MacDonald as the Celebrant. The family will receive friends before the Mass, from 9:30 to 10:30 AM.
A very Special Thanks to Jerry and Vickie Mummery, Henry Ford Allegiance, the Manor and Countryside, and to all who cared for and loved Betty.
