Betty Jean Cameron (Simons)

Age 91 of Jackson passed away on Monday, February 15, 2016. Betty was born on September 20th, 1924 to parents Milo and Mabel Simons. She married Richard Cameron on November 22nd 1957. Betty worked at Hancock Industries in Jackson.

She is survived by her loving husband Richard and their four children, Richard Stasiak, Milo Stasiak (Wendy), James Cameron and Janet Cameron, her sister-in-law Kay Simons, her ten grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by parents Milo and Mabel Simons and brother Gordon Simons.

After retirement Betty and Richard traveled around the country in their motor home and then settled in Florida where they lived for 21 years before returning to Jackson. While in Florida. Betty met wonderful people who became lifelong friends. Betty enjoyed making new friends wherever she went. She had a great sense of humor. She loved to garden and play cards. She was always ready to hop in the car and take a trip to Las Vegas or to go see family and friends. Betty was all about family. She was never happier than
when family was around her.

A memorial service celebrating her life will be held on Saturday, February 20, 2016 at 11:00 AM at the Desnoyer Funeral Home with Pastor Toby Teague officiating.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service.

Our family will never be the same without her.
