Of Jackson, Michigan passed away on Friday, March 7, 2025 at the age of 63 years. She is survived by her loving husband of 45 years, John E. Brennan; her children, Emily (Mike) Ohm and Danny (Bailey) Brennan; her siblings, Donna (Bob) Beals, Dorothy Adkins and David Prater; her cousin, Erma Nyssen; her dear friends, Iris Schneider, Teresa Miller, Linda Flannery; and numerous nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her father, Pearl Prater and her mother, Esta Fay Prater; her stepmother, Florence Prater; and her sisters, Judy Adair and Cindy Zamora.

Bertie was born on January 19, 1962 in Tiptop, Kentucky. Her family moved to Michigan where she graduated from Western High School. Bertie was most proud of her family. She was very generous, had a heart of gold, and she was always there when you needed her. She loved flowers, caring for animals, and watching birds and other wildlife from her dining room window. Bertie had a special fondness for shopping at resale stores, antique stores, flea markets, and yard sales where she would always find a bargain.

A Celebration of Bertie's Life will be held at the Desnoyer Funeral Home on Friday, March 14, 2025 at 1:00 PM with Reverend David Kamke officiating.  Interment will follow at Jones Cemetery in Rives Township.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday, March 14 from 11:30 AM until 1:00 PM.
