Payne (Kurzynowski), Bernice
Age 87, passed away surrounded by her family on Sunday, December 31, 2017. She was born December 11, 1930 in Jackson, MI to John and Mary (Jajko) Sczykutowicz. On August 7, 1948 she married Theodore Kurzynowski who preceded her in death in 1993 after 45 years of marriage. From that union she is survived by her loving children Hank (Diane) Kurzynowski, Larry (Karen) Kurzynowski and Sandy Pappaianni, eight grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren; sister-in-law, Marion Sczykutowicz and brother-in-law, George Kurzynowski of Jackson, MI, and numerous nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by her parents, brothers Bernard (Frances) Sczykutowicz, Stephen (Clara) Sczykutowicz, Alphonse Sczykutowicz and John (Margaret) Sczykutowicz; and infant sister, MaryAnn Sczykutowicz.
As God intended, she married her second husband, Dale Payne on July 4, 1998. She is survived by Dale and her six stepchildren, Cindy Romberger, Linda (John) Voorhees, Nancy Wilkins, Wendy (Kevin-deceased) Morgan, Randy (Karen Graves) Payne and Bill (Kathy) Payne as well as their children and grandchildren.
She also leaves behind her faithful fur baby, Fuji, whom she loved with all her heart.
Bernice retired from Kelsey Hayes (TRW) after 30 years of service. She lived and loved in the faith of the Lord. Her family was the joy of her life and she especially enjoyed family gatherings. She was active in St. John's the Evangelist Catholic Church. She also enjoyed trips to the casinos.
Her love touched many and will continue to be sprinkled on us from Heaven.
Bernice is at the Desnoyer Funeral Home where a Prayer Service will be held on Wednesday, January 3, 2018 at 9:30 AM followed by the Mass of Christian Burial at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church at 10:00 AM. Private interment at St. John Catholic Cemetery.
Visitation will be 2:00 to 4:00 PM and 6:00 to 8:00 PM on Tuesday, January 2, 2018 with a Scripture Service at 7:00 PM at Desnoyer Funeral Home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the St. John's Catholic Church or charity of your choice.
