Bernard "Ben" Stachowicz
of Jackson, passed away at home on Friday, March 7, 2014 at the age of 81 years. He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Norma; four children, Mark (Diane) Stachowicz, Nancy (Robert) Moon, David (Tammy) Stachowicz and Gary Stachowicz; daughter-in-law, Tina Stachowicz; seven grandchildren, Chad, Stacie, Isaac, Jennifer, Sarah, Josef and Kateri. He was preceded in death by two grandchildren, Shaun and Paula. He is also survived by three great grandchildren, Arizona, Hunter and Nevada.
Ben was an Army Veteran of the Korean War, retired from Clark Equipment Co. after 30 years of service and was a member of the Clark Equipment Retirees Club. He enjoyed outdoor recreation including hunting and fishing.
The Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, March 15 at St. Joseph Catholic Church at 12:00 Noon with Father James Shaver as the celebrant. The family will receive friends at the church from 11:00 AM until 12:00 Noon.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Joseph Catholic Church.
