Bronakowski, Bernard "Bernie"
Of Jackson, passed away on Saturday, April 16, 2016 age 83 years.
Survived by his wife, Cheryl; daughters, Christine and Kristi; son, Brandon; one brother; five grandchildren; one great grandson; and several nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his two sons, Tom and Mike and his first wife, Carlene.
He started work for Tom Robinson & Son. Later worked as a heavy equipment repairman for Baily Excavating for at least 35 years. Then he went to Baily Sand & Gravel for a few years. Bernie was also a United States Air Force Veteran.
Bernie loved bowling, playing poker, casinos, and sitting by a pool drinking a beer. He will be greatly missed by everyone that knew him. He was not one for sad things, such a funerals and death.
Bernie is at the Desnoyer Funeral Home where a celebration of his life will be held on Thursday, April 21 at 2:00 PM with Pastor Toby Teague officiating. Cremation to follow the funeral service. A luncheon and Moose Lodge of Sorrow will follow at the Moose Lodge 156, 745 Lansing Avenue, Jackson.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday at the funeral home from 3:00-7:00 PM.
In lieu of flowers, contributions to the charity of your choice would be appreciated.
A special, special thanks to the nurses in Critical Care unit for making Bernie comfortable and explaining things to all of us.
